The nonprofit Foundation for Advancing Science, Technology, Education and Research (FASTER) uses real world data to optimize patient care and advance medical research.

We believe that rigorous, timely, efficient medical research can improve the health and lives of patients. Conducting comparative effectiveness studies, promoting implementation science, and advancing patient-centered research aren’t buzzwords for us. They are at the heart of what we do.

What we do.

  • Real World Evidence

We are experts in applying traditional statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other data-driven analytic approaches in pursuit of real-world evidence.

  • Data Visualization.

We use data visualization tools like Tableau, SAS, and R to present patient reported outcome measures, EHR data, passive data from wearable devices, and much more in ways that are quick to digest.

  • Clinical Trials.

We design and implement novel research including traditional clinical trials as well as pragmatic and decentralized studies, to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of interventions under real life conditions.

Our core clinical subject matter expertise lies in rheumatologic, musculoskeletal, and inflammatory conditions. These include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, osteoarthritis, gout, and osteoporosis.

Our mission is to facilitate, support, and conduct high quality and timely medical research that improves the lives of patients with chronic illnesses. We seek to streamline every aspect of clinical research, including contracting and administrative processes and incorporating state-of-the-art technology, minimizing the time and expense required from study conception to launch.

FASTER is a nonprofit foundation recognized by the IRS
