Robert Matthews is an Information Systems Manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He has 35+ years of experience using SAS software for database management, statistical analyses, and data entry systems. He has extensive experience managing Microsoft Windows Servers and has been the system administrator responsible for managing the file servers and network infrastructure for the PharmacoEpidemiology and Economic Research (PEER) Group at UAB. He also has responsibility for managing large Medicare and Medicaid databases that are housed on the network and has been a co-author on numerous journal articles ranging from occupational epidemiology research to osteoporosis and fracture studies involving Medicare beneficiaries.
